PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Goes Mobile
After being crowned as Steam's third best-selling game ever, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is on its way to conquer the mobile world. Developed by LightSpeed & Quantum Studio and published by Chinese tech giant Tencent, PUBG Mobile has been soft launched in Canada. The game is now available for download at the Google Play Store. PUBG Mobile stays true to the PC version. It was developed on the Unreal Engine 4 and supports features that include 7.1 surround sound and in-game voice chat. For the time being, only the original Erangel map is in the mobile version. The minimum requirements consist of a smartphone with Android 5.1.1 and 2 GB of RAM. Although there is no mention of a minimum processor requirement, the developer states that the game is supported on more than 500 Android devices.

This game is turning into the multiplayer version of Skyrim...ALL PLATFORMS MUST HAVE THIS GAME.
So far i've seen:
- Bugs got fixed
- runs GOOD on AMD based hardware, hell even a FX at 4.8GHz with a 580 8GB runs smoothly on WQHD.
I've spend nummerous hours now playing this game and by your saying it should be terribily bricked. It's not. Get over it. The game is a success.
Either way, I've seen a lot of people play very fancy looking games on their phones. And with the tiny-sized high pixel density phone displays, computationally intensive stuff like anti-aliasing can easily be dropped. Add in some texture compression/downgrade and it's not that hard to imagine it running well on all but the lowest end phones. How the controls will work out is another thing and probably a bigger issue IMO. But hey, people seem okay with Minecraft on phones. So maybe not that bad then...
Phantom footsteps, sounds that are very inconsistent, random crashes, fps that fluctuate wildly, crappy vehicle physics, crappy physics in general like dropping 5 feet and getting knocked, man I could keep going for days.
Did I forget to mention the hackers? I mean flying buses and boats are only funny for so long.

I follow such vids every day now almost...
Those videos while funny it gets old after a while.
When your squad is down to the last 20 players and random flying vehicles go through buildings it's only funny for so long.
