Far Cry 5 Denuvo Protection Has Been Defeated

Released worldwide on March 26, the PC version of Far Cry 5 has been cracked 19 days after its launch. Nevertheless, the Denuvo 5.0 protection served its purpose as the game sold nearly five million copies in its first week. What's more impressive, though, is that it took prolific warez group CPY less than three weeks to circumvent the game's multiple layers of DRM. Nevertheless, CPY's feat wasn't a complete walk in the park. According to the information provided by the Italian entity, Far Cry 5's cocktail of copy protections included Denuvo 5.0, EasyAntiCheat, uPlay, and VMProtect. Given the speedy release for this one, maybe CPY has finally discovered the secret to Denuvo's formula. Or perhaps Denuvo is starting to lose its touch.

where the hell are my stars
newtekie1It definitely doesn't require a bog standard Windows install, it runs just fine for me. But we are in a community where re-installing Windows seems like the easier solution compared to just figuring out what is causing the issue. More than likely, something else in the background is causing issues, and that gets removed with the re-install.
My issue was likely oem software from acer. Like I said in a later post it works fine on other machines I have with unclean installs

They managed to get their money anyway (and still will get more), so...? The crack won't change anything.

In my case, it takes about 30 minutes to reformat versus hours of frustration of finding out the cause of the problem.

R-T-BGlad I am not the only one who remembers stardock's "Gamers bill of rights."

RIP.
I 'member it.

I then remember them defacating all over said bill a few years later when Sins Of A Solar Empire Rebellion launched with the worst form of DRM possible, limited activations. I also remember them selling impulse (then a good up and coming digital release paltform) to gamestop, who promptly ruined it. And how they used to sell awesome skin packs for windows that changed all the menus with the click of a button, and I remember how awesome the Sins of a solar empire skin was.....

What could have been.....

Yep, they still do, along with Fences, Start10.
