Alphacool Presents the Alphacool Powerbutton

Alphacool today introduced the world to the greatest invention it sometimes knew it needed: the Alphacool Powerbutton. The Alphacool Powerbutton is the pinnacle of design ingenuity for users that find reaching their system's power button either a Herculean task, or one that's beneath them (sometimes literally).

The idea behind the Powerbutton is to extend the typical computer's Power button to anywhere on the users' desk, allowing for comfortable turn on/turn off cycles (or one of the best office pranks ever, of course). The Powerbutton is available in black or chrome options. The button + wiring package goes for €29.79, while the button by itself is available for €16.79.

AnarchoPrimitivWhomever buys this has to be either very lazy or uneducated....you can buy a million different power buttons, ones that even look like this, from any industrial supplier (probably for half the price) like Grainger, mcmastercarr, etc. It's almost as if PC people don't know something exists until a PC company puts their label on it. All you have to do is search for "remote, illuminated momentary pushbutton operators" then you can customize it anyway you want by choosing from a million different "enclosures"
This is true for many things ... TIM being the most obvious. RGB being the most annoying.

I have to stand and lean a good bit to reach my PB, but it's never off so hitting the space bar does the trick

Sorry I was more sarcastically saying a way that "Keeps" W10 in Sleep Mode, because I have a computer that pop's back-up or never sleep properly even with all the settings are saying it will or should. While, another that won't wake with keyboard or mouse (newer Microsoft) you have to reach down and hit the button to wake it.

I was hoping for more of a "big stick" approach that pop's it over the head until I resuscitate it!

BeertintedgogglesFor those prices I'd rather go the wireless route: Silverstone SST-ES02-USB Remote Switch Kit. When I was making my HTPC out of an antique 3 foot tall AM radio, I didn't want to drill into the cabinet to mount a power button so I used the PCI Express version of that Silverstone kit.

I forgot to add, the wireless kit can both power and reset the PC.
WHY DID I NOT KNOW THIS WAS A REAL THING

oh my god i want this so bad
