ATI’s X2x00 Series Details

AMD/ATI seems to be planning twelve different cards in the R600 series to be released during 2007. The chart above lists the different models, and although it is in Chinese/ Japanese (sorry, not sure what each looks like) the columns have been translated to mean (from left to right) GPU model name, GPU clock/ memory Clock, memory type, memory width, memory size, number of pipelines, manufacturing process and recommended price (presumably in US $). One interesting thing to note is the X2800XTX2, which could be a dual GPU card.

Whats this X2800XTX2 the clocks are slower BUT under pipes it says 96*2 which makes that 192 pipelines. Hmmmm Oh its a dual card I wonder about this.

wow, i hope thats prices on the far right. $600 for a 2800xtx 1GB? i can handle that.
and i hope that the row next to what i think is price ends up being power draw. 80 watts across the board would be nice :D

The 512*2, 1G, 512M... etc. is memory size (i'm quite sure). The column to the left is memory bus width???

So, when they say "manufacturing process" isn't that the same as the size of the die in nanometers? Kind of like the AMD Athlon64 going from 90nm to 65nm? If so, how does 80nm compare in size to the x1900 series?

I am going to answer my own question and post another one. :)

I looked on Newegg, and this is what the X1950XTX has: PixelPipelines: 16 (48 pixel shader processors). So, is that 6th column the number of pixel shaders? Or pixel pipe lines? Either way, it is a huge improvement!!!

The currently unannounced product: the X2900XTXTXTXXL comes in its own external case... because it doesnt fit in an ATX. It's too long and too many slots deep. So it has it's own box, its own kilowatt PSU, and its own refridgeration device. Connects via external PCIe.

Pipelines I think - that's what it says on the source website anyway, they could be wrong of course.

Holy shit!
R600 will have 128 SP's like the 8800 GTX??
I thought they were going for 64 Vec4's, but i guess it would have been smarter not to.
