Ubisoft Announces Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Ubisoft has announced Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint. In this new game, you play a "Ghost" - an elite special ops soldier who fights the "Wolves" as its main cause. Its another release in Tom Clancy series, this time following the steps and improving upon its previous release - Wildlands.

Update: The developer has commented on Twitter, that the game will be "always online" - there is no offline mode, which explains why AI-controlled bots on your team have been removed.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a military-like shooter set in an open world environment where you are constantly surrounded by threats. You are fighting the "Wolves", an ex-military group that has gone rogue. They are ready to use any means necessary to take you down. Nature is ruthless as well - there are things like slippery slopes where you can easily tumble down and lose health. However, the game action being set in the jungle, you can use many of nature's elements to hide when needed.
Ubisoft has released a 14-minute long gameplay video which shows the game's graphics, characters, and missions.

The game can be pre-ordered for 59.99$ from Ubi Store. There are several editions of the game:
  • The Gold Edition with the base game and the Year 1 Pass ($99).
  • The Ultimate Edition with the base game, the Year 1 Pass and the Ultimate Pack ($119.99).
  • The Wolves Collector's Edition with the base game, the Year 1 Pass, the Ultimate Pack, a Ubicollectibles figurine of Lt. Colonel Cole D. Walker, a Steelbook, exclusive lithographs, Walker's dog tag, and a waterproof map of Auroa as well as the soundtrack ($189.99).
Breakpoint will be released on 4th October for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. For PC gamers game will be available either in Epic Games or Ubi Store.

IceShroomHow can your luncher shows that stats but not mine? It this a DLC I need to buy or it works on new games only.
I think you might be right on this, so no worries. It’s a newer game thing. I went and checked all the older Uplay titles I have and no stats. So at some point they realized people at least want to know how long they played and implemented it.

Was not a stab at you, but a joke. Its a saying in English: 'No such thing as free lunch' meaning nothing comes for free. You mentioned how you might need some DLC to get your time played, so... yeah :) I could not resist.

rtwjunkieAll, or just the last couple? The original is a legend, and Advanced Warfighter was a pretty well done game that built off the original. Perhaps you mean Future Soldier and Wildlands, where the series kind of changed things up?
Wildlands, yes. I gave it a shot, graphics cool, engine cool, but I don't know, it feels so empty and I just couldn't care about the storyline. It just felt like a sandbox, no soul to it really.

I always say this game is actually a brilliant Weather Simulator. I play it mostly to enjoy the vistas :D When bored, shoot some things

For anyone who does not like the Uplay launcher I would like a detailed message as to why that is. The new Epic store gives you free games every other week. I have bought exactly 3 Uplay games. The Division 2, AC Odyssey and The Crew 2, but wait I got those games free with the AMD promotion. Now my Uplay has every single AC game, Watch Dogs, The Crew, Splinter Cell and a few Ghost Recon games that I paid exactly 0 for as Uplay gave them to me for free. I am not saying it is perfect but it is much better than Origin (change your PC and you have to re register and can't use previous password) or the Windows store (Play games for a subscription fee but if you really want them you have to buy them) The online thing might turn some people off and I admit I have no interest in this game but it doesn't mean that the Uplay launcher is no good. They even give you achievement points for playing which you can use in lieu of micro transactions.

Has anyone tried Breakpoint yet? It's on sale at Epic and with the $10 coupon I could pick it up for $5.
The reviews haven't been stellar, that's for sure.

Nope, but what I've seen and read is, it is mostly Wildlands on a new map with some tweaks towards multiplayer.

I stayed away because launch version wasn't that pretty to single player gameplay; and really, Wildlands has it all anyway.
