Phanteks Announces the AMP Series Modular Power Supplies

Phanteks today announced their new mainstream power supplies product line, the AMP series. Powered by Seasonic, the new AMP series 80 PLUS Gold comes in 750 W, 650 W, 550 W and is fully modular. The high efficiency and compact design of the AMP series provide up to 750 watts in a 140 mm housing and comes with modular, black, flat power cables to make installation easy and clean.

The AMP series features a Hybrid Silent Fan Control that achieves optimal cooling with temperature-controlled fan speed and fan-less mode for silent performance. The AMP series is also Revolt Pro Link certified providing 100% compatibility, reliability, and stability to work directly with the Revolt Pro expandable PSU allowing you to power more. its a rebranded seasonic focus gold plus platform, they didn't change anything not even the fan, just a paint job and a brand stamp on the chassis. Interestingly the price is actually 10$ cheaper for each wattage unit than the Focus gold on newegg :wtf:

Well I like that ... most of our users that we build for generall choose a Phanteks case so cosmetic improvement and $10 more in their pockets ... since most of the time, we'd be putting in a Seasonic Gold Plus anyway ....

I'm disappointed with this. Phanteks tends to and is known for more innovative / unique quality products and as mentioned this is a rebadge for a not bad PSU but nothing special. They could do something much better, even if more budget oriented; even if it's just aesthetically.

750w 110 eur in Germany. Same as 750w Leadex III wich has better cooling solution.
