Razer Unveils Ornata V2 Mecha-Membrane Gaming Keyboard
Razer today unveiled the Ornata V2 gaming keyboard that the company promotes as a hybrid between mechanical and membrane-type keyboards, using the company's "mecha-mebrane" switches that offer the "cushioned" feel of membrane keyboards for extended typing sessions, with the clicky tactile feedback of mechanical switches. This is the second generation of the Ornata, which was released in 2016, and hence comes with a few modern features such as a faux leatherette palm rest, zonal RGB LED illumination that uses Razer Chroma, and a mechanical media rocker. The electronics underneath offer N-key rollover and 1000 Hz polling rate. The Ornata V2 is shipping now in the U.S. for USD $99.
