Gears of War to come to PC
Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games, at the Game Developer's Conference 2007, said the game Gears of War will come to the PC platform soon. Mark pointed out that Epic is a small company, and therefore it cannot work on a multitude of projects. It is a second-generation company that is developing content using the potential of the targeted platform to the maximum.
Epic is planning on working on the conversion, but there are couple of buts before we can say what will happen and in what timeframe. The game is probably done and now needs tweaking and serious QA testing, which will come into order once Unreal Tournament III hits the stores. When, where and what - will be disclosed later.

The game looks good, and I can only see it looking better on PC. I mean come on, everyone knew it would be coming out, but its good that multiple people have said so.
Also on R6V yeah the port is kind of stinky...
The online multiplayer is great but a bit frustrating, too many people running round with the chainsaw hacking people up but then again it IS a weapon and you do unlock achievements for killing a certain No. of unlucky truckers this way :wtf:
Being able to play thru the game with a friend and call them all the idiots of the day for getting killed and having to start the area again is great, I keep on waking up the better half cos of it and she now has earplugs
Oh yeah, I think Vegas does run better on the 360 unless you have an x19.. series card. I ran it on this x1650 with the 3800 X2 at 2.2GHz and the card at stock speeds but it wasn't that quick to be honest, a bit jerky in fact
I hope they improve the online severely for the PC. The 4v4 is too few players in a game, and maybe more game modes besides just Warzone, Assassination, and Execution. 8v8 would be better along with some CTF. I'm sure though that "host" won't be much of a problem on PC as it was on the Xbox 360.
Great game, though, nonetheless. Definitely worth $60, and more.
