NVIDIA Bundles "Watch_Dogs: Legion" and 1-year GeForce NOW Subscription with RTX 30 Series

NVIDIA announced new graphics card+game bundle celebrating the launch of its GeForce RTX 30 Series "Ampere" graphics cards. Each of the three new cards, the RTX 3090, RTX 3080, and RTX 3070, will include a copy of "Watch_Dogs: Legion" with the card, along with a 1-year subscription to the GeForce NOW cloud gaming service. "Watch_Dogs: Legion" is the latest chapter in the "Watch_Dogs" franchise of open-world RPGs. The company appears to be building the user base of GeForce NOW with RTX 30 Series sales. Unlike EA's Origin Access, which is game-as-a-service (a form of SaaS), GeForce NOW is a cloud gaming service that streams gameplay across the Internet. The RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 launch around September 17, with prices starting at USD $1,499 and $699, respectively; while the RTX 3070 launches some time in October, at $499. "Watch_Dogs: Legion" releases on October 29.

Thin foil much?

It's their service, it doesn't cost them a lot to offer year for free, plus it's a good publicity their service and an add value for the card. Also it's play your game anywhere servcie, not a we got crappy gpu so we offer you a streaming service to compensate service.

So nvidia has to give the service away just to pump up their subscriber number.

I bet this kind of promotion doesn't actually cost them a dime as Watch Dogs: Legion just want to sell DLC and GeForce: Now is their own service.

So, no, it is just tagging on to sweeten the deal a bit for the right consumer demographic.

Many dogs shall be washed, I suppose.

yawn-worthy franchise... 'Hey look, I'm an AC in the present day and I can't climb but I can push buttons'. Oh yeah, and 'I'm also trying to be a bit of GTA'

Had to google Watch_Dogs: Legion.

It looks like a copy paste of the Saints Row franchise. The formula looks more or less the same. Volition/THQ can get away with it because they are the ones behind Saints Row but Ubisoft... Their whole schtick is copy pasting, radio towers and microtransactions.

what an uninspiring game. The game adds no value to the bundle. The 1 year Geforce Now though i can see it being semi-useful if you travel around a lot with a laptop or game on a tablet.

I guess you can still sell the game code for WD:Legion for £5 -- that will get you a happy meal at Mc D's i guess.

Hi,
Got free watch dogs "something" off a 1080ti purchase played it a couple times and it was so buggy gave up on it.
So 1 year free sub sounds best.

The service is not even usable on all countries. smh. And i dont think i can play 2 open world games back to back. They shouldve just given us CP2077, they love promoting that game anyway.

Why would they be giving away the upcoming "game of the year" for free?

It works for Epic, Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, others I dont know about.
Start cheap then increase the price faster than inflation rate.
