Between Epic and CDPR the landscape in the PC Gaming space is definitely changing. Objectively Epic have made all the other services give us more as end users.

I wouldn't be surprised if Valheim is next or any other survival game for that matter. Their goal is the IP/genre/playerbase that likes these type of games after all and they need fresh ideas regardless. People need to understand that the CCP is defecit of anything hence why stealing *cough* I mean buying out talent is the next best thing. This is what happens when you kill off all intellectuals and take a great leap backwards like killing off your 5000+ year old RICH culture that has influenced so many other nations.

Sellouts won't really realize what's going in the run long anyway so it's not like they're hurting other than the playerbase/fanatics they cater towards. Money is everything today so I can understand that aspect somewhat at least.

Let this also be a lesson if you decide to work with a publisher instead for easy cash flow. Because the opposite will often happen as can be seen with EA as an example. You will be bought up for a huge sum because you're cutting into their lootboxes and/or potential playerbase that makes way more profit in the long run.

...sigh... Dammit. I hope Jim does a video about this and it's nothing but screaming at the top of his lungs for five minutes straight. I hate Epic. I hate ANY big corporation that gobbles up independent studios. Especially independent studios that actually have creative and fun IP's. This sucks.

Getting kind of tired of the Chinese bashing be it CCP or anything else. It's pathetic at this point.
