TechPowerUp Forums Rewards—Win Steam Gift Cards Every Week & Every Month
TechPowerUp Forums is one of the leading tech communities on the web for gamers, PC enthusiasts, and everyday folk looking for answers to their tech problems. Our vibrant community has over 100,000 members, with more than 4.3 million posts between them. We want to give back to the community, by announcing the new TechPowerUp Forums Rewards. Already several weeks in the running as beta test, TPU Forums Rewards is an easy way to bag Steam Gift Cards, and possibly hardware prizes in the future, by simply participating in our discussion forums (where tech discussions happen).
The more posts you have, the more tickets (chances) you have. At the end of each week, the software randomly picks a winner (where your chances are higher with more tickets in play). The number of tickets is subject to diminishing returns, to even out the chances—the exact algorithm is presented at the bottom of the rewards page. There's no need to sign up to the giveaway, every user is automatically measured, as soon as he makes a post in the giveaway period. Obviously we will not allow spamming useless content just for post count. As this system is new we'll keep a close eye on post quality, be very generous with our decisions and keep users informed transparently. We want this to be fun, not a constant source of drama.
A leaderboard page shows your stats, and how you're doing relative to the other members of TPU forums. At this time we're running two giveaways concurrently. A weekly drawing that gives ten winners each a $10 Steam Gift Card. The monthly drawing has five $50 Steam Gift Cards up for grabs. These are good for buying games, DLCs, in-game items, and a lot more, on Steam. From time to time, we may even give out PC hardware, the plans are already evolving for that. If you don't want to participate in this system, there's a checkbox in your forum profile settings to do so.

Also no point making multiple accounts for this, because up to 15 posts you will get tickets 1:1, and diminishing returns only start (slowly) above 15. At this point we usually know the content quality being posted
Not sure why you'd exclude the news poster and not all posters in the news section
News is not a help section it is pure heads up/ adverting which all posts shouldn't be giving post count or tickets just like the lounge area is excluded imho
Thanks TPU guys!
