AMD, Microsoft Collaborate in Limited Edition, Halo Infinite-Themed RX 6900 XT Graphics Card

Here it is: Microsoft and AMD have collaborated in a special, limited-edition Halo-themed graphics card. Putting the Halo in a halo product, the new release features a collaborative design between AMD and Microsoft, and deepens the link between both companies. The design takes its cues specifically from Halo's most recognizable character, The Master Chief - Spartan John-117. The custom card features a triple-fan cooling solution, customized with the military green and faceplate gold from the iconic Halo character. The backplate too screams the connections to Halo, with a 117 embossing and a LED-illuminated blue AI logo.

Microsoft also used the limited edition RX 6900 XT graphics card announcement to indicate that it is working closely with AMD to bring ray tracing to Halo infinite, saying that "Ray tracing is one our top development priorities post-launch and look forward to sharing more soon." Smartly, and perhaps learning from what happened with the retail release of the Halo infinite custom Xbox Series X console (which fell to scalpers in a matter of minutes), the new, limited edition graphics card won't be available for sale; instead, " AMD, Halo, and other partners will be offering players multiple opportunities over the coming weeks to get their hands on one." Look after the break for the teaser video of the product.

Looks like an actually custom shroud (as opposed to just a paint job on the stock one), which is nice - comparable to the Star Wars editions Nvidia did a few years back. Like the color scheme too - definitely has a different look to it.

... Looking forward to seeing dozens of these mounted in some mining rig somewhere that gets posted to Reddit.

Isn't it just the 2.5-slot AMD reference cooler? I seem to remember that doing decently in reviews.

I mean, it's a 1080p render that's clearly been hammered by YT compression, but other than that I can't say I have any idea what you're talking about.

not sure what you base that on, look at the latest 3070ti review, the Noctua one, the AMD 6000 series are the quitest cards on the list, sure this is 2 slot but....yeah it will probably be at worst an average noisy card.

Clearly more than 2 slots. So, it's the standard 6900 XT 2.5 slot thickness. For which, according to the TPU review
Gaming noise levels of the Radeon RX 6900 XT are extremely impressive. The card is almost whisper-quiet while delivering fantastic framerates in 4K gaming. The card is also significantly quieter than the GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition.

Well done "The Dee Gee" you have hooked a few with yee trolling!

I have the AMD reference 6900XT and it is by far the fastest and very quietest graphic card I have owned since the 90's when graphic cards had no fans. Tried a NVidia 3070 before upgrading to the 6900XT (in late 2020 when prices were much more sane) and just missed the vibrant and natural colours of the AMD cards in games and on the desktop.
