AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.12.1 Released
AMD today released Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.12.1. These drivers add optimization for "Halo Infinite," with up to 17% increase in frame-rates measured on the RX 6900 XT, at 4K Ultra settings over the previous driver version; up to 19% increase measured with the RX 6800 XT, and up to 16% measured with the RX 6700 XT. Optimization is also added for "Icarus" and Blender 3.0 on RX 6000 series graphics cards. Among the fixes include a SteamVR Home noticed on the Radeon VII; driver time-outs noticed with the RX 5500 XT in "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy;" Radeon Software becoming unresponsive with PUBG on multi-display mode with extended display; and artifacting noticed in "Forza Horizon 5" with the car models on cards such as the RX 500 series.

Tahiti was released on in Feb 2011, that makes it more than a decade of driver support.
This makes it live a year more than the Fury.
That is not counting OEM and crap like the GT720 in 2017 and GT1030 Kepler variant released in 2018.
I have some old unsupported AMD gpus and work fine with latest drivers.
You do realize kepler was the 600/700 series, correct? Actually, worst case would be 5 years, HD 6000 series was October 2010 to november 2015.
I doubt AMD will drop polaris anytime soon, despite the lower end cards being pathetic by todays standards the 480 alone has more users then all the GPUs AMD dropped earlier this year combined on steam. I'm going to guess that polaris, vega, and VII (all the non rDNA cards) will be dropped maybe a year after rDNA 3's release.
The last WHQL Catalyst driver was in 2015 yes, but it did get a Beta version of the Crimson drivers in Jan 2016.
It's always sad when hardware gets abandoned, but at least they still work with the old drivers
