SAPPHIRE Announces NITRO+ S360-A and S240-A All-in-One Liquid CPU Coolers

Sapphire today entered the CPU cooling components market with the NITRO+ line of all-in-one, closed-loop, liquid CPU coolers. The series debuts with two variants based on radiator size, S360-A and S240-A (360 mm x 120 mm and 240 mm x 120 mm, respectively). The cooler uses 7th Gen Asetek pump-block technology, which integrates a thermal sensor within the pump-block, and onboard logic that accordingly adjusts pump speed. The block is studded with addressable RGB lighting, a 3D structure resembling a roll-cage, and a brushed aluminium accent.

The second Sapphire innovation with these coolers is the included set of fans for the aluminium radiator. Inspired from the fans found in Sapphire's NITRO+ series graphics cards, these double ball-bearing fans feature impellers with 13 densely packed blades that are webbed off at the edges, to guide all their airflow axially. ARGB LEDs are studded in the impeller hubs. The pump turns at speeds ranging between 800 to 2,800 RPM, while the fans turn between 450 to 2,500 RPM. Among the CPU socket types supported are LGA1700, AM4, and LGA1200. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Same but I must admit this is surprising.

Asetek pretty much owns the entire market. Only Arctic uses their own design.

Yea really only a few notable OEMs like Coolit (Corsair AIOs), EK, and Enermax are pretty much the only options we got for AIO thanks to Asetek patenting the damn thing

Thanks for dropping a few more names. Interesting Corsair is using Coolit because they were one of the first victims of Asetek. I’m glad they found another OEM.

Lian Li, be quiet!, Thermalright, SilverStone and Alphacool are also non-Asetek, and Alpenföhn too if i recall correctly. www.overclock.net/threads/asetek-pump-alternatives.1777684/

Aio segment must be incredibly profitable for so many companies to now be involved.

i think they are just desperate cause gpu's were their only source of income and that market is now dead on arrival. i imagine these will be mediocre at best. personally I'd take take an Arctic AIO anyday over asetek junk

Not really DOA considering ever scalped GPU they still profit off of it. They are making just as much money know as they did before.

What I’m really curious about is those fans. That’s an interesting design. I have to wonder how they perform on radiators vs other brands.

You forgot about Alphacool. They have very high performance AIO's using their own rads and pumps, much less restrictive than Asetek.

I doubt they are even getting gpu deliveries to be honest, AMD has not been getting much TSMC time for gpu allocation.

Even though it seems to be made by asetek, it looks pretty damn cool (pun intended).

Yeah, my favourite manufacturer on the Radeon side.

I have one in for review. However, looking at the 13 blade fans (high airflow, less static pressure) it will be interesting to see how it pans out. If they used a high FPI radiator like most AIOs performance will likely suffer for it to some degree. But that is just my initial thoughts. Review will tell all. (one sample ahead of it)

Frankly, I'm interested if Sapphire will sell them separately, sort of like how MSI started selling their 120 Torx fans separately from their air cooler towers.

In the USA, they *did* own the entire market for a very, very long time

It's asetek with a sticker on it, but i too like the look of those fans

I had a power supply from them a rebranded enermax around 15 years ago. A silver rated, semi modular power supply. Never heard the fan running was so quiet. Never failed. Now sitting in its box for probably 6 years or more.

Is there a single company left on the planet that doesn't make rebranded Asetek AIOs?
