ASRock Arc A380 "Alchemist" Finally Available in Europe, for 189€

ASRock Arc A380 Challenger ITX graphics card started selling in Europe. German retailer Mindfactory has it listed at 189€, including taxes (non-referral link), and is ready to ship. This is possibly the first listing of the A380 in the EU. Until now, you needed to import the A380 from China (sold by GUNNIR), or from the US, where the ASRock card has been listed on Newegg for a few weeks now. The ASRock A380 Challenger ITX uses an aluminium monoblock heatsink not unlike Intel CPU HSFs, but ventilated by a noise-optimized single 100 mm fan. The card is 19 cm long, and so bags ITX chops. ASRock is running the A380 at a boost frequency of 2.25 GHz, while the memory ticks at 15.5 Gbps (GDDR6-effective). The card features a single 8-pin PCIe power connector.

Turpentine it seems. The damage has sunk in.

Yeah, he will be proven right in around 2025/2026 when rtx 3080 will be had for that low. And he will rub it in everyone's face saying he is the nostradamus of the tech industry.

Joking aside, there will be indeed selloffs of the high end gpus. I just don't think it will go as low as he thinks.

There were no sell-offs of GTX 1080 Ti, although the situation was similar - cryptocrash in spring, and then people waited half a year for price drops, until Turing launched - with worse price / performance than Pascal, and prices of used cards actually went up, not down!

Nvidia can afford long periods of slow sales, if cryptoboom sales make up for all of this. Large discounts aren't good for perception of high end card worth.

You can be sure Nvidia si actively planning and promoting next mining coins. In secret, of course, but they can't depend on poor gamers who can't even buy a single high end card for $2000...

Too little, too late. People only care about the 5xx and 7xx parts.

190€, no thanks. I wonder what performance will get plex from intel gpu's. Maybe in that space intel will shine?

But these are good news, now they are available in EU too.

used market is about to be flood due to mining craze coming to an end. Even a RX580 would be a better deal then this.

At this price its dead in the water, the rx 6400 is € 20 cheaper on the same site, considering the requirement for rebar, and shakey deivers it needs to clearly undercut it in price, maybe the price drops as more partner cards are available but even then it really needs to move down significantly to be competitive.

You'd be surprised but it has already started, the price sinking that is.

Starting at 600€ here in Germany. I'd imagine it would be even lower starting price in the US.
So he's not too far off.

For us in Canada seems prices for a 3080 are average about $800 cad used.

Could be, depends on average of prices in your country. Here in the People's Republic of Canuckistan, prices of gpus are stupid. New, rtx3080 is still about $900 - $1000.

I just cleaned up my Dell RTX 3080 and using that as my main GPU. Damn good GPU honestly. The OEM ones can be pretty good in quality and value. I always check for those used. Tend to sell cheaper than most of the AIB's.

The OP was talking about in Germany. So for 97€ more he can have a brand new GPU vs something that has been sitting in a sweat box. I personally have never bought a used GPU and never will; however, I won't crap on those who do either. I just don't have much faith in other people taking care of their cards.

Lol all this fuss for only 5pcs?
Why did Mindfactory decided to promote it through Geizhals (there is a commission 0.35cent per click minus Mindfactory possible discount) is beyond me (the next day of the stock-out they stopped promoting it at Geizhals, so this possibly means no immediate restocking)

Now I think I want one just for a piece of history. Drop it into a capsule and bury it in the town square only to opened 50 years from now.

I guess the Intel gpus won't show up on ebay until next year ?

Some might turn up, but they will be rarer than hen's teeth, or cutting edge EVGA graphics cards.
