NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 Pictured

Later today, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang will take centerstage at GTC to launch the next-generation GeForce RTX 40-series "Ada" graphics cards, in what is expected to be a pre-recorded stream, which may have been filmed earlier. This has been leaked, and we have our first picture of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition graphics card. Its design retains the dual-axial flow-through concept introduced with the RTX 30-series Founders Edition cards, where a fan on one side of the card draws in cooler air, passes it through the heatsink, and exhausts with the help of a second fan. There appear to be some refinements to the design of the fan-impellers, The card itself is 3 slots thick, much like the RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition. The RTX 4080, positioned a notch below this card, was pictured earlier in its anti-static sleeve, and appears to feature an identical board design.

Solaris17is this for real? they just pasted the picture on to his hand? how is he holding it? The card proportions are disproportionate compared the the rest of him.
You can see what seems to be one of his fingers in between the gap in the PCIe connector. He is probably holding it by the backplate. Although.... I would probably guess that this is yet another CGI announcement looking at his hair in the photo, looks rendered.

AusWolfRight... I mean, how do they end up being the news?
Well, whenever you have nothing else, you have to be satisfied with the little you have... :D I presume.

Honestly me and the SO play switch more now. It's less hassle and less gouging and it has all the indie style retro rpgs she loves.

The GPU with Jensen in the background is a render, it's fake, I don't understand why TPU is posting this fake picture as news...
The GPU wrapped in plastic is real, at least not a render.

sam_86314Hell, even my current modded instance of Skyrim SE (with about 40GB of 8K textures because why not) uses around 10GB to 13GB of VRAM on my 6800XT.

I paid for all that VRAM, I'm gonna use all that VRAM!

I even caught vanilla BeamNG.Drive using 9-10GB of VRAM after the latest update (settings maxed with dynamic reflections around medium).
The amount(s) of VRAM is likely due to higher demand of memory bandwidth. they just buy whatever hynix or samsung currently have on the menu.

Came for the next gen……..stayed for the leather jacket. ;)
DuxCroI see a lot of people here in Croatia selling their RTX 3000 series cards for a fraction of the price compared to just 6 months ago. I think now is the right time to upgrade....to RTX 3000 series or RX 6000 series. :)
Considering the price and availability at the start…..I know a lot of people who just bought/got one this year and selling already for next gen!! A fool and their money are soon parted lol

well I guess that’s good for people who upgrade 5yrs or longer. I just got a 5 month old 6800 Asus tuf for $600cad. Good for another 5yr now :)

Rendered, ray traced, with DLSS.

These new cards cost and arm and leg, so he’s also demoing the new graphics card holder prosthetic that is included in the box.

I always speculated he was secretly working for AMD. That's why all the terrible decisions made by Nvidia for the last while especially pricing.

It all makes sense now.

wolfAllocated that much or needs that much? if your specs are correct, you have a 10GB 3080, does it allocate out all your VRAM or is it unplayable?

ZoneDymoSteel Rising is an absolute mess though from a technical perspective and does not come close to warrenting the requirements.
Kinda reminds me of those cpu heavy cheaply done ports of old.
FC 6 with RT ON + FSR ON with 4K resolution + HD texture = VRAM 16gb.....

Yet I find it so easy to not run into the 10GB limit of my 3080. This exact scenario I would heavily wager was intentional by AMD as many cards in their lineup have more VRAM than their direct competitors, gotta leverage any possible advantage, just as Nvidia would do in sponsored RT titles.
