10 most commonly used online passwords

Newlaunches.com has managed to obtain a list of the most commonly used passwords from the upcoming May 8th issue of PC Magazine.

The passwords are below:

1. password
2. 123456
3. qwerty
4. abc123
5. letmein
6. monkey
7. myspace1
8. password1
9. blink182
10. (your first name)

If you are using any of these passwords, it is strongly advised that you change them ASAP.

speaking as someone that resets passwords for people in multiple apps, I'd say a variation of "password", 123456, their first name, or a sons/daughters name.

Ive also got a friend that has used "password" for a few years now with great success.

firstname+day of birth+middlename+month of birth+last name+ year of birth

Eg Lee Harvey Oswald - Born 18th of October 1939

Password = l18h10o1939
Seems like a good strong password for me, especially if you added your girlfriends first name to like the beginning or end

busted :D

i used this scheme some years ago :D,
maybe still some mails i dont use anymore have it.
