NVIDIA was quick to respond to the reported CPU usage bug present in Game Ready Driver 531.18 and has issued Hotfix Driver 531.26 which claims to resolve the issue. I used NVCleanstall and unchecked all telemetry options and it affected me. Which is odd.

I just installed the drivers as I always do... via GeForce Experience (The Horror!), ironically no issues so I won't be grabbing the hotfix.

Downloaded and installed the update via GeForce experience no issues at all, played around the video super resolution with YouTube 144p, 240p and 360p on my 1080p monitor id say it’s pretty impressive at 360p is quite sharp the lower resolution is not bad too, just a bit of funzies tinkering

Glad they are fixing this as I saw my CPU spiking in a weird way lately and looking at the tasks monitor it was the NVcontainer or some process like that which I manually killed.

Hope that the Linux driver skips this bug (We're still on the 525 series over here).

It did not fix driver specific crashes on BF 2042 for me. The only driver which is stable that I have found is 528.02, but again, my GPU crashes when playing BF 2042 and every consistent.

528.02 fixed the GPU driver crashes in that game for me, so you could try it for any GPU driver crashes.

I'm playing BL3 at the moment after the recent sale on it, and the previous driver was giving stutters that turned out to be driver crashes - the PC would often recover fast enough the game kept running, but not always and sometimes i'd do something like alt-tab and get a black and white checkerboard windows UI
Tried to screenshot it and the PC rebooted, rolled back and zero troubles

I might wait another version or two
