BenQ PhotoVue Monitors Elevate the Pursuit of Perfect Color Performance

BenQ, an internationally renowned brand of digital lifestyle devices and innovator of professional display technology, today launched the SW272U and SW272Q monitors, successors of the SW271C and SW270C and the latest generation of PhotoVue professional monitors for photographers. Featuring exclusive Fine-Coated panel technology and certified color quality, the 27" 4K and 2K photography monitors advance the pursuit of perfect performance that photographers and videographer have entrusted to BenQ PhotoVue monitors for many years.

"Our pursuit for perfection never ends, and with new generation BenQ PhotoVue monitors such as the SW272U and SW272Q, we ensure spectacular user experiences for photographers and color experts far beyond industry standards," said Houston Wei, Senior Director of BenQ North America.
PhotoVue monitors employ proprietary BenQ AQCOLOR technology and are individually factory calibrated to ensure color quality and precision, enhanced by the new Fine-Coated panel as certified by TÜV Rheinland for a reflection-free experience. This results in a paper-like screen effect which, in conjunction with BenQ Paper Color Sync software, delivers superb screen to print consistency as demanded by professional photographers that rely on top quality hard copies.

In terms of wide color gamut, the new monitors offer 99% coverage of Adobe RGB, DCI-P3, and Display P3 wide color gamut and ΔE ≤ 1.5 color accuracy for industry-leading professional image fidelity. Further augmenting PhotoVue monitor color performance, the latest BenQ uniformity and color consistency technologies utilize high precision designs to adjust hundreds of sub-regions of the screen, ensuring precise colors across the entire display as well as perfect color matching across multiple monitors.

The PhotoVue SW272U and SW272Q have been Pantone Validated as well as Pantone SkinTone and Calman Verified for top-tier color performance and calibration. Hardware calibration is facilitated by Palette Master Ultimate, the exclusive, IF award-winning, powerful yet intuitive BenQ color management software. Also known as PMU, the utility assists users with 50% faster and much easier professional color calibration across devices, saving time while improving results. Additionally, SW272U and SW272Q offer full support for Calman, Colourspace, and other third-party photography and videography calibration solutions.

The new monitors support an optional detachable shading hood bridge for dual operation as standalone screens or multiple hooded monitor setups. They provide best-in-class creative experiences with an aesthetically appealing and ergonomic design that includes a leatherette pad on the base of the stand for safe placement of digital cameras, calibrators, and other devices, as well as USB-C connectivity with 90 W of power delivery and the included all-new wireless HotKey Puck Gen 3 monitor control accessory.

The BenQ commitment to color-critical applications is exemplified by its partnership with Pantone, serving the global community of color and image professionals who depend on the Pantone system to maintain color accuracy throughout workflows. The two new PhotoVue monitors come with a one-year free subscription to Pantone Connect Premium, helping photographers, videographer, colorists, and designers to share color palettes and collaborate with team members, clients, marketers, and printers via the cloud from a mobile app.

The SW272U will be available for purchase directly from BenQ on June 21, while the SW272Q arrives in July.

Please stop producing new 60hz monitors. Give it at least 120hz, even for non-gaming monitors.
