Just as with regular usb flash drives, you're getting the cheapest crapiest not good for anything else type of flash memory.

Why not just get a m.2 enclosure and put in whatever SSD you'd like? You can fully control the quality of the SSD, reuse one from a previous PC or even swap enclosures when there are upgrades or in case of dead parts.
