Wait, is this an MSI only issue or are we about to get an entire glut of 4070TIS BIOS updates that will nullify all the launch day results?

Out of curiosity, what’s the issue then? Do they not boost in an appropriate manner, does the cooler not allow for higher clocks by being too relaxed or what? I know you mentioned lower than expected performance in your review, just interested in what you’d speculate the BIOS actually fixes there.

Is there any indication from MSI if there will be future BIOS updates after version 95.03.45.40.F0 since your review stated that performance was still 1% under par? Thanks.

From the conclusion in the review:
I did some quick testing and it seems that something else on the PCB was drawing excess power, which left less power for the GPU, which meant it ran into the power limit earlier and couldn't boost higher. I'm not sure if we'll ever get definitive answers, but right now I'd say performance is "close enough".
