ASUS TUF Gaming Capture Box-4K Pro Wins iF Design Award

ASUS today announced that the TUF Gaming Capture Box-4K Pro has won a prestigious iF Design award. This high-performance device allows users to capture and broadcast their gaming, video or live events in stunning 4K resolution. With seamless compatibility, variable refresh rate and up to 4K 60 FPS capture, it's the essential tool for content creators and streamers. Thanks to HDMI 2.1, the TUF Gaming Capture Box-4K Pro has the bandwidth to support lossless high-resolution and high-refresh-rate passthrough of up to a 4K 144 Hz HDR signal, in addition to 4K 60 FPS capture. Or, for users who want to high-refresh-rate experiences, both 1440p and 1080p capture resolutions support 120 FPS, with passthrough of 144 Hz and 240 Hz, respectively.

At all resolutions, the TUF Gaming Capture Box-4K Pro also supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) passthrough, ensuring a local video signal never has lag or screen tearing. It also features an onboard processor to support up to 4K upscaling and downscaling, ensuring that users can play at whichever resolution they prefer and send their stream at any resolution the platform supports. And thanks to support for both consoles and PC graphics cards, it's easy for users to stream their adventures to the world, however they choose to play.
The TUF Gaming Capture Box-4K Pro requires only a single USB 10 Gbps port plugged into the capture PC, then it's instantly ready to start sending live gameplay to a user's favorite streaming software. While it's a certified OBS-compatible device, this capture card also supports Streamlabs and Xsplit Gamecaster, among many other services, without requiring separate drivers.

Designed with console and PC players in mind
While some capture devices—especially PCIe expansion cards—are built specifically for PC gamers, the use of HDMI 2.1 allows the TUF Gaming Capture Box-4K Pro to work seamlessly with PCs and consoles alike. Plus, integrated dual 3.5 mm headphone jacks for both the headset and gamepad enable audiences to hear both banter and gameplay. HDMI 2.1 also ensures seamless compatibility with latest-gen consoles and graphics cards.

The intuitive design of TUF Gaming Capture Box-4K Pro allows for a painless setup process. Users just need to connect a USB 10 Gbps cable from the PC to the capture box, connect an HDMI 2.1 cable from the PC or console to the capture box's HDMI IN port, and run a second HDMI 2.1 cable from the box's HDMI OUT port to a monitor or TV.

Solid construction with tasteful RGB accents
A key design feature of the TUF Gaming Capture Box-4K Pro is its all-aluminium, classically TUF Gaming chassis. The all-metal build not only helps keep a capture card safe when users are on the move, it also keeps thermals under control without the need for an active cooling fan.

Because no piece of gaming hardware is complete without at least a taste of RGB, the TUF Gaming Capture Box-4K Pro features a lighting strip along the front of its chassis, which also serves as a notification system. During normal operation, users can easily control RGB controls and encoding options via the Video Capture Console, a dedicated software dashboard.

An all-in-one gaming companion
From its solid all-aluminium construction to its versatile USB 10 Gbps connection and flexible range of supported resolutions and refresh rates, this is a capture card that can fit into nearly any gamer's existing setup. Users who have been considering capturing or streaming their gameplay but have not found the right hardware can pick up a TUF Gaming Capture Box-4K Pro and immediately level up their battle station!
