be quiet! Announces New Dark Rock 5 CPU Cooler at Computex 2024
be quiet! brought plenty of new products to the Computex 2024 show, including the all new Dark Rock 5 CPU cooler, a compact CPU cooler with an overall height of just 161 mm, which promises both extremely high cooling performance and excellent compatibility. Thanks to its asymmetrical design and cut-outs on the heat sink, the Dark Rock 5 will offer high RAM and VRM heat sink compatibility, and since it does not extend over RAM slots, it should not cover those fancy RGB lights on your memory modules.
The be quiet! Dark Rock 5 comes with an aluminium heat sink with special black coating with ceramic particles, a total of six 6 mm copper heat pipes connected to a nickle-plated copper base, the new Dark Rock 5 should offer pretty good cooling performance. The heat sink is cooled by a single Silent Wings 4 120 mm PWM fan with rubberized fan frame, which means it does not need additional rubber elements, and it also supports an optional second fan for even higher air pressure. The Dark Rock 5 also features a magnetic mesh top cover which hides the heat pipe ends and comes bundled with a screwdriver. According to be quiet!, the Dark Rock 5 should launch later this month with expected price of around $70/€70.
