Nice product,I hope Samsung to release this year an external SSD with capacity at least 16TB and 5 years of guarantee and better speed ( 3000 MB/s, USB4 with dram will be a good idea.) and Seagate needs to introduced new big capacity SSDs.

Should have made TB5 a 5.0x4 bidirectional link (128Gbps both ways)....I feel like 64Gbps (for data, like on an external SSD) is going to feel too slow long before TB6 comes around

I have the Thunderbolt 3 version of this drive -- very fast and solidly constructed. The timing of this release, ahead of next month's likely M4 refresh of various Macs, has me thinking Apple will be including Thunderbolt 5 in their new machines. They are usually pretty quick to jump to the latest Thunderbolt spec anyway, and have a good working relationship with OWC.

Using what connector? TB5 is 120Gbps capable, it cannot do 128 bi directional.

No, only way is a new platform. Nobody ever made tb4 add on cards that actually allowed tb4, they relied on the motherboards internal TB header.

Funny. A TB5.0 device, where there are NONE to support it.
An TB4 devices are like 0.01% of the market, with no quality add-on cards for PC in sight.
