be quiet! Announces New Mainstream Pure Base 501 PC Case Series and Pure Power 12 PSU Series

be quiet!, the German manufacturer for premium PC components, is introducing a brand-new mainstream case series, Pure Base 501, and a new mainstream power supply series, Pure Power 12. Following in the footsteps of the extremely successful and award-winning Pure Base 500 series, Pure Base 501 proves that simplicity can be exciting: useful features and a compact size make this case series perfect for any gaming or office PC. The line-up includes models aimed at silence or airflow, with or without window, and in two different colors (black and white). It supports advanced features for flexible installation and reliable cooling. Meanwhile, Pure Power 12 extends be quiet!'s power supply portfolio with mainstream models that offer 80 Plus Gold rating and fixed cables.

Pure Base 501: Compact yet mighty
Pure Base 501 is aimed at users looking for a very flexible case with compact dimensions and who appreciate a timeless, traditional design without ARGB features. The case series consists of one black model aimed at silence (with a closed front panel) and black and white models aimed at airflow (with a mesh front panel) featuring either a solid side panel or a side panel window for a perfect view of the components inside the case.
All models support motherboards with ATX, micro-ATX, or Mini-ITX form factor. Cooling is handled by two Pure Wings 3 140 mm PWM fans in the front and rear of the case. These fans are optimized for maximum airflow, with seven airflow-optimized fan blades to reduce noise-generating turbulences and provide the performance needed for demanding configurations.

Despite its compact dimensions, Pure Base 501 offers enough space for large coolers: triple fans or radiators up to 360 mm can be installed easily at the front. The case series also accommodates high-end graphics cards and supports optional vertical graphics card installation. A decoupled double HDD cage is included for versatile storage options, and the clever cable routing design keeps the interior tidy while making cable management a breeze.

Pure Power 12 is be quiet!'s latest power supply series with full support for ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1, and can be seen as a fixed-cable version of the award-winning Pure Power 12 M. The new models offer 80 Plus Gold efficiency, an exceptionally silent 120 mm fan, advanced stability and voltage regulation, and a full suite of safety features. Combining these best-in-class features with an attractive retail price, Pure Power 12 is the perfect power supply for your silent PC builds, office applications, and home theater systems. I think that black one is the case for my next build. :peace:

EDIT:
www.bequiet.com/en/case/5322
Unfortunately it can only mount up to 240mm rads in the top, which is my preference for mounting my Artic Liquid Freezer II 360 AIO.
Maybe I'll switch to a tower air cooler because I really like the case.

Absolutely funny how their entry level case gets fully decked IO panel with Drive activity led and reset button while their mid and high end cases lack that option. :kookoo:

Not bad, but I can't stand cases that have that rear slot design with the screws or whatever fastening mechanism for the cards that are outside of the case.

Or you could take it as they're listening to customer feedback?

TheLostSwedeOr you could take it as they're listening to customer feedback?
Why does it need customer feedback to get the basics right?

who knows but looking at manual reset button and drive activity LEDs are separate(thought it would be like power button with LED integrated in middle) but given its BeQuite that case should have better materials than competition in its price range plus their 3.5" drive caddies seem to have vibration dampners, no RGB built in, 140mm PWM fans included and overall case is well thought out.

Well, those other cases are several years old now, so this is in other words what the customer feedback on those models have lead to. That's normally how product development happens.
Also, a lot of products don't get it "right" from the start. What is right, can be discussed, as everyone has different wants/needs.

That is quite a nice case. I like the front I/O placement and the fact that you can get it without a glass side panel. I wonder how the size compares to other cases around this price point (Lancool 216, Fractal Pop and Meshify, Cooler Master TD500 v2).

This the same tooling as the original PB500? If so. . . price-inflation's wild - bought that case for, iirc, between 65 and 75 USD back in 2020.

I had their Pure Base 500FX. I liked it for the most part. Easy to build in, easy for me to move around. But the things I didn't like most about it was the sole USB-A port on the front panel and the tacky fasteners on the glass side panel. So with this new 501 case, I'm glad to see that bequiet! remedied the issues I mentioned.

If they end up making a 501FX, I'll really have to give it some thought.

You wanted to say "decline", right? Such basic solutions, like power and reset buttons, or more then just 1-2 USB ports have been on the market since long ago and I think nobody questions their usefulness. Not putting those in Your products at first and adding them to the later ones is not "development", but just "finally doing a proper job".

No. And not all cases have that these days, so it might've been a thing, but it's not a thing these days. Again, not everyone's "right" is the same "right" set of features.
