Apple launches Battery replacement program for iPhone
When the iPhone was launched last week, it became evident that one of the biggest minuses of the product was its battery, which was not user replaceable.
Apple has now come with a solution - it has started a battery replacement program. Should your iPhone's battery need replacing, you can send the phone to Apple. For a fee of $85.95, your iPhone's battery will be replaced with a new one. An "added bonus" is that all the data on the iPhone will be wiped, so you should back up everything before you send your phone to Apple.
The whole process should take about 3 business days.

Reviews that had no mention of mechanical benchmarks. EEK!
Because every review I've seen is praising the battery life.
Prove it?
Engadget said it was better than they expected.
Do you have a source otherwise, or are you preferrring to claim you don't have to prove it because you can't?
"iphone" must come up with like... 0 results and reviews..

Keep it civil, guys. And enough Apple flaming, seriously...
If you don't like the price of the phone, it's features, or the battery policy ...
Don't buy one.
If apple wants to charge $90 for a battery replacement and people are willing to pay it, good for them. It's their company and they can do whatever they want.
I neither love nor hate apple. They are simply another company with products.
I wouldn't buy an iPhone now as I feel the feature set is weak for the cost, but it may be greatly improved in the future through hardware, firmware and software upgrades.
That being said, I think the way you use the phone is very innovative and more intuitive than most of the other phones available.
Just my 2 cents.
That being said though... in the past, when I've sent my iPod in for server, I'd get a 1-2 day turn around and even got it back Saturday Delivery once without even asking. If they still have that mentality of getting it back to the customer as quickly as possible, then it may not be so bad. However, I hope that perhaps replacements at the Apple Stores might be an option rather than a send-away.
If this is for out of warranty phones then this is fair do's.
How about stop trolling and post something with content or not post at all?
