Apple launches Battery replacement program for iPhone
When the iPhone was launched last week, it became evident that one of the biggest minuses of the product was its battery, which was not user replaceable.
Apple has now come with a solution - it has started a battery replacement program. Should your iPhone's battery need replacing, you can send the phone to Apple. For a fee of $85.95, your iPhone's battery will be replaced with a new one. An "added bonus" is that all the data on the iPhone will be wiped, so you should back up everything before you send your phone to Apple.
The whole process should take about 3 business days.

Oh and the whole Steve Jobs perfectionist thing (guess he lost that concept) . . .
so you must be stupid to replace your battery to
I almost hate apple.....almost
Here's my beef, I can't see paying $600 for a phone. Wait, wait... I know, it's an iPod and a BlackBerry, and everything else too right? What's the largest drive again, 8 gigs? Please... I think I would rather buy an entry-level laptop and use a wireless Skype fun to make calls than get taken with that same pricetag and a minimum $60 per month service charge. No wonder they gave them away to all the employees. AT&T will be making as much money as the phone costs in a mere 10 months of the required 24 month contract.... what a scam!?
 I'll tell ya what... I'll keep my $10 Virgin Mobile flip-phone and pay $20 every 3 months.... someone call me when that "thing" can microwave popcorn and I'll buy one
.... and people thought I was crazy for buying a $600 PS3 :D:p [i suppose the case can be made]
P.S. who really wants to watch movies on a cell phone, I mean seriously... ? :shadedshu
2.) This program is for OUT OF WARRANTY PHONES.
I have a Razr. Its long out of warranty. What if the battery fails? I should get a free one from motorola?
Way to RTFA people. I didn't know people threw away a $600 phone after the warranty is out?
Oh thats right, you're probably one of the many that just throw it away because its a $50 LG.
But I guess thats why the iphones outselling what the razr did the first 3 months, in 3 days..
Or are you pulling it out of your ass like everything else in this thread?
