Logitech G9 Leaked

A Chinese site claims that the usb mouse in these pictures is the new Logitech G9 gaming mouse, supposedly an upgrade to the G5. The mouse looks like its real since I cant really remember any mice that resembles this one. Logitech seems to be using interchangeable faceplates and we also see that in order to add or remove weight to the mouse you need to remove the shipping faceplate. Finally we can also see that the LEDs for the resolution display are relocated as well.

Yeah it's true, I very much doubt the finished version will look like that. Personally, I really don't think 'gaming mice' are really Logitech's market. I'de certainly never buy one. I have a Razer Copperhead, and Whilst it isn't the most comfortable mouse in your hand, paired with the Razer Mantis, it's one of the most responsive setups around. Much better than any Logitech offering. Yes I would know, I had a Logitech G35 laser. It was nice, but.. It's no Copperhead. Logitech has the mass market, leave the gaming niche to the pros guys. :)

Im not really bothered about what it looks like at the moment as im hoping there putting most of there attention to the laser and the technology in the mouse, the looks can be tweaked afterwards, one thing, whats the LEDs for near the LMB or are those buttons?

I'm quite curious as to what you are referring to. For years Logitech and Razer have been going head to head with mice. Once Logitech started bringing out gaming oriented keyboards guess who had to follow? Logitech is one of the top input device manufacturers, hence why I have a Rumble Pad 2, MX518, and G15. Oh and X-540 speakers. They wouldn't still be making "gaming" oriented parts if no body bought them now would they?
