NVIDIA to Unveil Integrated GeForce 7 Chipsets for Intel Processors

NVIDIA is projected to officially unveil its new family of core-logic chipsets with built-in graphics cores for Intel processors on Tuesday. Even though it is expected that NVIDIA's new chipsets will not feature high-performance graphics, the move will still provide more advanced low-cost graphics for Intel platforms.

hmm, i would not go into the trouble to buy a cpu with integrated crappy grafix, when i can get a cheap mobo with a similiar integrated grafix such as www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138074 this one, integrated geforce 7050.. plus with the cpu being the gpu as well, you're not going to get performance outta the cpu cause the cpu will have to process its own job as well as the job of the gpu, which could cause the chip to work poorly and run hot.

 The motherboard(s) chipsets have the onboard video. Not the cpu. It of course uses uses cpu cycles and also system memory, the cpu is not the gpu.

if they integrate an 8600 core on the chipset, hell, that would be pretty gravy.

I'd still rather have a 7300 over a 7100...and 7300s are like really cheap.
