8800GT's will be made by nVidia, the VGA manufacturers will only put their stickers on them... So the differences will be in the bundle and, maybe, the look of the sticker on the cooler...

Really? On what info do you base that, the 8800GT is a lower fabrication process.....requires much less power, produces less heat (as in less power hence single slot cooling option) all the rest is guesswork, noone knows for sure if the forthcoming 2950Pro will be a match for the 2900pro and vice versa so speculation is all there is, certainly looking at the specs.......making comparisions on what is fact would suggest that at stock the 8800GT should at least be there or there abouts, remembering that at stock the 2900Pro is nothing special, it's that overclocking headroom that brings it into 2900XT territory that makes it special, the 800GT may also have that overclocking headroom (and might well have with the lower fabrication process), if it does, withe the extra stream processors and lower power requirments it might well be signifcantly faster than the 8800GTS 640. But hey thats just guesswork! :D

Yes, it does. I doubt nVidia will make some exceptions... But who knows, the power of $ & € is unknown :D
