because they wont fix the bugs and also the memory leak that has plagued it since FF2.0, Since they claim to be the top used webbrowser they are getting lazy

I'm only using 37k memory with Firefox 3, then again I never had the memory leak problem with version 2.

heh, I just switched back to IE after using FF for the past 2 months.... so much happier with IE... I dunno, I just didn't like FF...

Maybe I'll try it again after they've made more updates to it.

Having recently heard of these memory leaks I have attempted everything in my power to make firefox use more RAM, the max I got was 125MB's of RAM at peak use. I just like firefox, but no way am I testing some beta.

There are older customized builds out there, based on unofficial Firebird branch, designed to run on old Pentium-I era machines with 32MB RAM or less. They take anywhere from 5-7MB RAM max. They might be somewhat buggy, but boy are they fast.

If ya want to run the latest builds be prepared to pay the bloat-penalty.

if this thing usess less memory (system resources) than my ff2 (runs between 76k and over 100k) then Im definitely gonna hop on board the FF3.0 train.
