Windows 7 Confirmed for 2010

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 7 is on track for release in 2010. During its internal "MGX" global sales meeting this week, Microsoft witnessed that the code name for Vista's successor is "Windows 7" and the project is due to see light in approximately three years.
We are currently in the planning stages for Windows 7 and development is scoped to three years from Windows Vista Consumer GA. The specific release date will be determined once the company meets its quality bar for release
a Microsoft spokesperson revealed to Softpedia via email. Outside of the confirmation quoted above, Microsoft did not comment more on Windows 7.

dont like the pie chart idea touch screen could be good but it would only be good for desktop stuff no point really as you can get touch screen monitors TODAY they have em at my local library and that was when they had win 98

this os just better do what it says on the tin

imo i think touch screen has its pros and cons...i def wouldn't want to have a touchscreen desktop though that would just get really tiring after a while, and how would you play games???

By the time this OS comes out we are all going to be using Windows Vista SP2 (which was an OS-changing service pack btw) and everyone will be saying "OMG Windows 7 is so crap, it uses a whole 50% of my $20 RAM...I can't wait till the new one is out because im just going to use vista until it comes out" :p
