NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GX2 Launched

Although there's not yet been an official press release directly from NVIDIA, a number of graphics card manufacturers have today released their GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics cards. The card itself features two graphics processors with a reference speed of 600MHz core and 2000MHz memory, with 256 stream processors and DirectX 10 support. All cards released so far come equipped with 1GB GDDR3 memory. You can take a look at techPowerUp!'s own Zotac GeForce 9800 GX2 review here. Companies that have already released a 9800 GX2 include Zotac, XFX, Point of View, BFG, Club 3D, Leadtek, SPARKLE, Inno3D, EVGA, Albatron, Walton Chaintech and Foxconn.

You can add XFX and eVGA to the list of manufacuters that released 9800GX2s today.

Pricing it currently $599.99 in the states, but I expect the price to settle down to the $500-550 range in a few weeks once the hype settles down.

So the $600 is final eh? I honestly still had the tiniest bit of hope that it would be <$600. Oh well, I'll have to see how the 9800GTX turns out. Still can't wait to see how nicely this card performs with matured drivers because with the current driver release they are good but not worth $600.

I've added those two. I'll try to include any more that people find if I see them (only links from manufacturer sites please, not shops).

600$ is 2 much for what u get. the 3870x2 is a way better deal.

I agree that $600 is slightly too much, but when you look at the performance over the 3870x2(in benchmarks that aren't CPU limitted) the price is justified. Considering you are getting essentially 2 8800GTS512 cards, which go for $290 a piece, $600 is about right.

Nvidia says that the 9800GX2 is 30-50% better than the 8800Ultra...Didn't they say the 3870X2 about 30% better than the Ultra? Overpriced, I say.
