ASUS GeForce 9800 GTX Pictured

TechConnect Magazine has acquired some pictures and specs of ASUS' upcoming EN9800GTX/HTDP/512M graphics card, which is expected to be released on April 1st. It will run at what are thought to be NVIDIA's reference clocks of 675MHz core and 2200MHz memory, with 128 stream processors at 1688MHz. This version will come equipped with 512MB GDDR3 memory, with a price tag somewhere below $350.

AsRockTweaked like the 7800 to 7900 was lol.. Laughable difference that was.
and if you look at the oc difference between the G70 and G71 you will notice G71 did what 200mhz faster core seeds?

Probably only worth upgrading from a g92 if you have the EVGA Step Up program, if not, disregard.

It is too bad that you can not SLI one of these with a 8800GTS for a three way. That would be the boom!:respect:

i don't look at the 3870 GDDR3/GDDR4 its very negligible gains in FPS between the two

I didnt realize there was a gddr3, only the x2 gddr3
thats right though, there seems to be no changes within the ram, there are 256mb cards that horribly outdo 1gb cards.

Yes, but couldn't it also be construed that GDDR4 can clock higher than GDDR3?

Also meaning, making the card itself perform even better?! I guess I just don't understand your point.

yes it could theoretically clock higher but you have to remember there are timings involved and they can slow down the high clock speed ;)
