PLAYSTATION3 Firmware 2.20 Available
Sony released the latest firmware 2.20 for their PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) console this morning. In case you haven't read what's new in this update, please check our previous story here. Some of the new features include, support for Blu-ray Disc Profile 2.0 (BD-live), the ability to copy PS3 Music and Photo playlists to a PSP system, as well as playing DivX and WMV format files that are over 2 GB. All owners, may now proceed to their PS3 System Update menu.

can any one confirm if it will playback more codecs like xvid and whatnot?
might have to by myself one for christmas sice bd won the media war and the ps3 (being the most popular bd player) can now play divx. in no time bd burners and discs will become common for pc and ill be able to dump my whole media center onto less then 50 bd discs :D

blu ray player with gaming tacked on is what a ps3 is i dont really care anyway if i wanted hd movies id download them on my pc
can you play divx dvds then?
