ASUS Eee PC Desktop (E-DT) Pictured
ASUS' long-promised Eee PC desktop has finally been pictured, according to shots sent into Hot Hardware. Dubbed E-DT, Eee's desktop brother will be equipped at first with a Celeron processor similar to the Eee, but will eventually move to Intel's Atom family of CPUs once they become available. ASUS promises that the system is due to ship by April or May and sell for between $200 and $300 US. The Taiwan PC maker also aims to further lower the price of the E-DT once it is available and start selling like hot cakes.

Also running on linux, these things remove the whole virus risk associated with PC's for those who are... mac inclined.
but my pa could do with one his prebuilt is on it's way out
Plus think of the things you can do with it if you have a bit of imagination and skill ;)
ICS, network firewall, and so on and so forth.
Zonbu:laugh: (250$ with no obligations or 99$ with 1 year storage subscription) + an external storage harddrive and you have the ultimate green pc.
Uses about 10Watts by itself so:D

If they keep it at the sub-$300 price point, it is definitely a decent buy. The cheapest Dell is $350 for just the tower. Wal-Mart offers a $200 PC, but it has a Via C7 in it.
