EVGA GeForce GTX 280 Line-up Unveiled

Expect nothing but NVIDIA all over the place today. After BFG it's EVGA's turn with six more GeForce GTX 280 cards. Some of them come overclocked, some are even watercooled.

They better break out the WC version fast. Lets not make the same mistake as the GX2 EVGA :shadedshu

AtnevonSo I got to noodling around, and wonder. What makes this bagillion dollar beast better than the 280?

Nothing, in fact it's a lot slower in games, it's basically a 7900gtx with upgraded bios and more ram, it's designed for CAD/3d rendering....

Isn't the GeForce GTX 260 a victim of neglect? Of the GTX 280 keeping all the limelight? This didn't happen to the 8800 GTS when it was launched with the 8800 GTX. I find the GTX 260 the more sensible product at the moment.

Yeah I agree it's the only one even worth considering buying imo, there's no way I would get the 280 unless it was more like £200... obviously thats not going to happen, i think for the vast majority the 260 will be the card of choice... unless the prices decrease a huge amount...
