Aren't these Super RV770 cards supposed to come with prefitted water-cooling?

If you are referring to his Palit, it doesn't have a stock fan.

The card looks badass. However i'll hold out and wait for the 4870x2 to come out and see what they can do. I can run crysis without a problem so for now I'll be ok!!!.

I would get a better cpu/mobo before I got a video card! HD 2900XT is still a great card!

CPU I understand and I am, i just want to enjoy my cpu for now, just water cooled it so im trying to see how far I can push it.

But mobo, I think this is probably the best MOBO you can use on socket AM2/AM2+.

tkpenaltyI'd wait for Gigabyte's non-reference design thats due to be released in August-september. Remember that Gigabyte's non-ref cars usually have the GAMER HUD which allows voltage control lol.
that's what i wait for , a gigabyte card , am use it so i can say

You do not thing only after assessing its experience

hahaha. It's not such a big deal to me, i'm not trying to break a world record. Regardless a solid machine is a solid machine.

The sticker isn't actually that bad. Don't get me wrong, I like skull and flames but I can't help but think they usually look really tacky when together, however that's not too bad. The PCB should have been black though, would have made it stand out more.

ShadowFoldThose temps are terrible but at that fan speed I can see why.. Why not have it at 100%?
because it would sound like a f15 on his desk remember these gpus can work properly at 120c

Sapphires HD 4870 has not broke more than 60C so far with ATI’s original drivers on the packaged disc. I'm talking about several hours of Oblivion @ 1080p on my Toshiba 46RF350U 46" HDTV via HDMI with Completely MAXED OUT Settings!!! But I do have 6 x 120mm fans along with a 240mm fan on top all running nice and quiet.

I wonder if anybody will get that OC'ed BIOS for the HD 4870's ? I am sure somebody will post a link for download :respect:

I'm running Vista x64 so for some reason ATI TOOL doesn't seem to run properly. Maybe Wizzard will address this issue. But I will try never the less once again.

Will our cards flash? That is the question because I've read that the HD 4800's are meant to run well over 1,000MHz in GPU speed. :respect:

Unfortunately I have a ruptured ear drum to account for what a f15 sounds like passing over you at mach 0.8. It took ages for that boy to heal :( That fan sounds pretty damn close to that (if you amplified it 100 times :D )
