OCZ Announces “OCZ Gear” Online Store for Clearance, EOL, and Refurbished Products
OCZ Technology Group, a worldwide leader in innovative, ultra high performance and high reliability memory and components, today announced the expansion of its product availability through its new online store. The "OCZ Gear" site will give customers the option to directly purchase select OCZ items, with the added benefit of top notch customer service and support as the driving force behind every order.
"We are excited to introduce the OCZ Gear online store which will sell special clearance and B-Stock products direct to our customers," commented Ryan Edwards, Director of Product Management of the OCZ Technology Group. "OCZ Gear is simply another way for us to better support our customer's needs. The majority of products listed are clearance items and those that are re-certified will be clearly marked."
The OCZ Gear store will feature a selection of their many product lines, including those that have become scarce in the retail channel, such as End of Life items that are still actively sought out by the enthusiast and gamer communities. Clearance items will also be available, along with re-certified and open-box items that have been fully tested and guaranteed under the industry leading warranty program. For the first time ever, OCZ promotional materials such as shirts, posters, and other swag will be offered to buy as well.
OCZ's reputation for breakthrough products, awareness of end-user needs, and substantial market consciousness has lead to strong brand recognition and leadership in the enthusiast community. OCZ Gear will not conflict with the company's existing channel but rather provide an outlet for customers to take advantage of clearance items or procure hard to find EOL products, all with the goal to deliver on the company's promise of maintaining the highest standards of customer service in the industry. Service coverage throughout the United States and Canada.

aaah well... then it got worse... thrid post... "its more expensive than a normal e-retailer..."
oh well... good idea... for saps... but then again stupid people wouldnt want to change thier own power supply, let alone ram... so i think itll fail... unless they undercut all the online stores ;)
Im getting sick of this - we in europe want cheap crap too!!!! corporate f**king bast**ds selling us refurbed kit at more or less full retail price - were lucky to even get 20% off on stuff & even then were still paying a lot more then non-EU countries....
where i originally come from, South Africa... theres a 100% import tax on electronic goods... so you pay double for everything and earn 15X less than the pound... now that sucks ;)
