this is nothing new - their Gemstone series laptops have been out for a while & I do have to agree that they look good - sadly Ive heard some bad rumours floating around that the laptops are totaly crap.

Im sticking to my kitted out Dell 1530/Studio17

How can they call this a laptop? It's a foldable benchtop. :nutkick:

IMO it looks awful. But each to his own.

I do like the Aspire One though. As soon as they update the Atom/chipset, I'm a buyer.

Looks pretty nice, but I think I'll stick to my Aspire 5100

That flagship model hasn't been out at all... take a look at the spec, that is the first line of Nvidia 9 series for Acer Gemstone.

Yeah, I now realise that they are just better models than the ones that are out, but the originals carried the 9500, so you're slightly wrong ;)

I like the design of the laptop but I've heard horrible things about their laptop customer support so ASUS all the way for me.

I thought 17" Laptops were to big, man 18.4" is huge IMO.
The specs look sweet, but Id rather have a 15.4.

Says the guy that has dell

You're a lucky one. I hate dell like I hate M$. Never had even one good laptop from them. But a lot of that may have to do with all of them having crap intel parts in them. The chipsets and wireless are the biggest junk ever.
