Acer Commits to Carbon Neutrality for Vero Laptop Line

Acer today shared its commitment to carbon neutrality for its Aspire Vero laptop line, starting from the new Aspire Vero 16 (AV16-51P). Following international standards for carbon footprint calculation and carbon neutrality, actions are taken at each stage of the device lifecycle to minimize its carbon footprint, and then, high-quality carbon credits will be applied to attain carbon neutrality.

Acer Products Receive Red Dot Awards for Design Innovation

A range of Acer devices received the 2023 Red Dot Award and were recognized for their design quality and ingenuity. The Predator Triton 17X, Predator Helios Neo 16, and Acer Chromebook 516 GE gaming laptops, as well as the Acer Swift 14 and the Acer TravelMate P6 14 make up the suite of laptops awarded by the Red Dot jury. Acer Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition Laptop Receives 2023 iF Design Awards

Acer announced today that it has won iF Design Awards 2023 across the "Gaming Hardware/AR/VR", "Consumer Products" and "Telecommunication" categories. This year's winning entries feature the new Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition gaming laptop, the eco-friendly packaging of the Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition laptop, and the portable Acer Connect Enduro M3 5G Mobile Wi-Fi router.

The iF Design Awards is a world-renowned design competition that gives due recognition to creators and brands that showcase outstanding design ingenuity, encouraging greater awareness of the craft and its integration into organizations' long-term planning. Nearly 11,000 entries were submitted for the 2023 ballot, ranging from almost 4,700 participants across 56 territories. Acer's entries were assessed by a panel of 133 design experts and successfully joined the ranks of the 3576 submissions that were bestowed iF Design Awards for 2023.

Acer Adds Aspire Vero Laptop and Vero Projector to the Vero Line

Acer Swift 3 Could Bring Ryzen 4000 8-core to the Masses at $629

AMD's 8-core Ryzen 4000 "Renoir" mobile processors could see an affordable implementation with Acer's latest Swift 3 notebook model (Acer Swift 3 SF314-42). At an MSRP of $629, the upcoming Acer Swift 3 could be a typical implementation of the Ryzen 7 4700U processor - a notebook with just the processor (no discrete graphics), yielding a battery run-time of up to 11.5 hours along with quick charging (4 hours in 30 minutes of recharging).

The Acer Swift 3 SF314-42 is a 14-inch conventional form-factor notebook with a 1.57 cm thickness when closed, and 1.20 kg weight. Its display offers Full HD (1080p) resolution. Memory and storage details are still under the wraps, but it's likely that the notebook is equipped with 8 GB of hardwired DDR4 memory, and a single DDR4 SODIMM slot for further expansion. Acer is also working on the Aspire 5 A515-44, a 15.6-inch Full HD notebook powered by a Ryzen 5 4500U (6-core) processor, priced at $519.

Acer Bringing Intel RealSense 3D Camera to its Aspire V 17 Nitro Notebooks

Acer announced today it will introduce new Aspire V 17 Nitro notebooks that will feature the advanced Intel RealSense 3D camera. Because the camera can understand and respond to natural movement in three dimensions, Aspire V Nitro owners will be able to interact with games, open web pages or navigate applications without even touching the notebook's keyboard or mouse.
