As promised, today Intel sliced the prices of several of its Core 2 and Xeon processors, just before the Nehalem launch. Below is the list that describes best all price reductions.

The E7300 is the same price as the E7200. Still a nice price though, all I have to do now - Is wait for ebuyer to drop the price of the E7300 and i'll be away!

I know I'm getting tempted to buy a x3220, but I really have no reason to..
Waiting for something better, if nothing comes out probably a x3360.

Woulda been better to say "Intel drops price on seven processors out of, like, 80." I'm not really impressed. Drop the price on the Q6600 to $150 and I'll be impressed. :laugh:

Intel SHAVES, not "slash". With only 5%-15% price reduction on less than 5% of the SKUs that is hardly slashing. :banghead:

I must admit I haven't seen the drops applied to the consumer market yet, obviously it'll take a while but my friend and I can't wait that long. SOD's law states that they'll drop straight after he buys the CPU.

Hmm this definitely makes things tempting. Man i wish I had some extra cash right now.
