The AMD Opteron X1150 is a server/workstation processor with 4 cores, launched in May 2013. It is part of the Opteron lineup, using the X-Series architecture with Socket FT3. Opteron X1150 has 2 MB of L2 cache and operates at 2000 MHz. AMD is building the Opteron X1150 on a 28 nm production process, the transistor count is unknown. The multiplier is locked on Opteron X1150, which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of 17 W, the Opteron X1150 consumes very little energy. AMD's processor supports DDR3 memory. This processor lacks integrated graphics, you might need a graphics card. Hardware virtualization is available on the Opteron X1150, which greatly improves virtual machine performance. Programs using Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) will run on this processor, boosting performance for calculation-heavy applications.
