The Intel Xeon 5120 was a server/workstation processor with 2 cores, launched in June 2006. It is part of the Xeon lineup, using the Woodcrest architecture with Socket 771. Xeon 5120 has 4 MB of L2 cache and operates at 1866 MHz. Intel is building the Xeon 5120 on a 65 nm production process, the transistor count is unknown. The multiplier is locked on Xeon 5120, which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of 65 W, the Xeon 5120 consumes typical power levels for a modern PC. Intel's processor supports DDR2 memory. ECC memory is supported, too, which is an important capability for mission-critical systems, to avoid data corruption. This processor lacks integrated graphics, you might need a graphics card.
