Or you can wait 6 months and it fall to 650usd, 7900XT is barely an upgrade from 6800XT anyways, why the rush
Incorrect, lets talk facts regarding your statement, Say your a pro sim racer and your dipping just below your required Framerate on certain tracks etc. & you have turned your detail level down, run at a lower resolution and still get dips affecting your control of the simulated vehicle.
An extra 27% might be all you need to keep a locked 100FPS on all track / car configurations and with current pricing yes its not the best price perf the 7900XT, Just saying your statement is wrong.
The 7900 has wider bus / faster memory interface / more memory + many more improvements. Compared to the 6800XT.
Back to the TOPIC The 4070ti is not out yet, but doing basic maths on the pipeline / bus / memory doesn't bode well for current estimated price / performance. Not to mention the whole NVidia trying to pass this off as a 4080?? the bare faced greed plain to see.
It shouldn't even have the 4070 tag either but the majority of the tame tech presstituess are too fearful to bite the hand that feeds them and call it for what it is, a plain rip off and trying to push up the tiering of pricing for its own product Stack.
Final thing > we can all agree current GPU pricing is madness and not just related to this industry, the cost of living crisis is caused by all these Corps that have a monopoly on the market maximising profit margins.
People are sleepwalking into being ripped off permanently, Just don't buy them, turn your detail level down, run at a lower resolution.
At some point in history, profit became more important then quality of life for all..
The Media have a lot to answer for. Critical thinking is not allowed it seems.
