I bought this motherboard today looked it up thought it was a good board .But sad to say nothing took the Heat sink off and the cpu out and saw there are bent pins there. If the heatsink was not on there i would not have bought it, i take a magna fine glass to check motherboards f i buy.It would be i good board if it had workedIt is ABIT AA8
The Abit AA8 is a high-performance motherboard based on the Intel 925X chipset, designed for Intel LGA 775 processors. Here are some key features and specifications:
I am really gutted as it is the second board i have got this week ,the first one i got free but he did advertise it for £5 but then said i could have it for free.He must have known it was the pins that were causing the Ram and USB problem Ironically this one cost £5 i did get a working ide Dvd drive and a stick of CORSAIR XMS pro series DDR2 Ram 512mb.The mouse and keyboard lighted up and the yellow light on the right hand side.could it be more than bent pins on the CPU socket? And what is the best tool to straighten pins?I have a third board i could test the tool on it is another Abit board.
