People have been complaining about Nvidia since the 30 series and the crypto bubble. Not only things haven’t improved, but they actually got worse. So no, complaining online doesn’t work. You can do it and help reinforce negative thinking to your brain, but it won’t help with reducing the prices.
I think I could give ampere a pass because I could blame it on covid, but the 40 series left a weird, mixed taste in my mouth until the supers arrived, and this 50 series launch has been my least favorite in any GPU launch history. The two GPU's I was excited for; the 5060 and 5070, because midrange, and one of them is already turning out to be pitifully mid.
Secondly, Nvidia’s gaming division share of its total revenue is minuscule. Cut it in half (which you won’t because there’s no competition but whatever) and they’ll still be the biggest valued company in the world. AI and servers are that big for them.
I mean, AMD isn't any different, its just data centers. They're going into AI too, they're just really late to the party.
The options you have left is either constantly complaining and being negative and toxic, or vote with your wallet and in your next elections for a party that will improve the situation with regulations as you can’t trust capitalistic companies to do it
I have a mouthful of things I wish I could talk about in regards to politics and PC hardware.. but I know I shouldn't drag politics into this. I'll just say that I'm gonna vote with my wallet, but that doesn't mean that I'm not gonna be bothered or miffed. I'll go buy a team red or team blue card and be happy while NVIDIA sulks away from me. Some call that compromising, I call that picking a product I know i'll be more satisfied with.
