Tested with Sabertooth x58 using a XEON 5690 with 48 GByte main memory.
The NVMe drive was a Samsung 970 Evo Plus (2 TB, latest firmware).
This is quite good, but I observe extremely long boot up times:
- With a short '_' cursor blinking top left from last BIOS message to occurance of Windows 11 boot logo: ~ 30 s.
- From begin of the Windows 11 boot logo showing until white circle indicating bootup: 20 s
- The rest (some 10 s) can be attributed to the normal Windows boot process.
Since all other drives including a Samsung SATA SSD 840 Pro (256 GByte) are booting much faster than
the NVMe Samsung drive, I suspect either the BIOS mod or a flaky Samsung firmware being the culprit.
Thank you for the good work!
