It looks like a single piece of metal...

It really doesn't, you can see a border on the backplate and all the stamping on the bottom, no way it's a single piece even if the fins are metal.

"Gen-over-gen improvement not that impressive (except for multi-frame generation)"

So, this GPU is only really an improvment because Nvidia added fake frames.
Good to see what the future will hold when the 60 series launches. "MFG x8 for 5090 performance"

Yeah, that looks like a cast aluminum piece to me that's coated and then has some post processing.

Looks like they've already taken the video down.
I guess they had to. Either way we got an early peak. I put screenshot to my previous post, since this is leaked now it should be ok to distrubute it right? Well, mods can remove it if they want...

Yesterday, the only two RTX 5070 models showing up at my local Micro Center were listed at the $549 MSRP - but who knows how many they have and if any other models will show up between now and tomorrow when they go on sale and for what prices they might be listed at.

As for MC, apparently they are opening early across the US for the AMD cards available for sale this Thursday.
Again, who cares? I have a window of opportunity to upgrade this summer/fall. If I can find stock and the price is right, I'll buy. (not necessarily the 5070, this goes for all cards). If not, I won't. It's that sinple.

What the hell? This is NOT faster than 4090???
What a joke of a generation! Seriously speaking now... a 70 card that can't pass 4 year old generation? Wow. Power usage? Price? Here its 750 euro, REALLY badly priced. Honestly, not even 1 card looks good. Even 5090 is not super impressive, with its massive power usage. This is the most skip generation ever.

Cya in 2 more years... Who knows, RTx 6070 might finally do better. Im tired of bad 70 cards.

would be a nice card, perfect for 1440p+RT, but not with 12GB. not for this price, at least

Let's just sum it up with these two benchmarks, which are kind of important as they are the only ones in Wizard's suite that are remotely indicative of the 'lifetime' of this gpu.

Then, let's watch the reviews tomorrow. Also, this gpu is held back something FIERCE, which is kind of amusing given it, well, kinda sucks.

This is what happens when a GPU performs literally exactly how you expected it would. It is the "no wukong 1080p60 min even if oc card" that is the obvious "no wukong 1080p60 even if oc card".

It's hilarious how predictable nVIDIA is. It truly, truly, is.

Did you guy notice 9070 XT power consumption?

Link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPGDVh_cQb0&t=748s

looks like HUB broke NDA !
They gave it the full 425w?! That can't be right...? I have to imagine it's limited to 375w, but would be happy to be wrong.

Wow...Tomorrow is going to be funny as hell. I mean, it's *probably* bandwidth limited if 20gbps ram, but those clocks should be amusing as hell if that's even remotely accurate.

3x8-pin implies up to around 516W, in theory.

Judging from die size, this is 5060 in disguise.
I was thinking the same thing. They could have downclocked it 10% and just called it the 5060 Ti.

Die size, ram amount, price, and power consumption would have been way more in line with a xx60 tier card

Ehhh? I don't think it'll draw anything close to that. If they let it use 1.2v, which I doubt, I still don't think it would draw much over 400w or so. My theory craft would be it around ~425w max.
My gut says it'll be limited either by 1.1v or essentially the same thing, but through power-limitng/2x8-pin (~375w).

Could be wrong, could be wrong...it just makes the most sense given all of those *should* line up pretty close...which is around 3400mhz, which also lines up with typical AMD 20gbps memory overclocking.

Given we have seen both 7900xtx and Blackwell pretty much top out at ~3390mhz, and I *think* this will use HPL to hit ~3500-3700, it would make sense that's the low-leak curve and it will match with that.

JMO, obviously we'll have to wait and see.

It's a full-system power draw in HUB.

According to the graphs, only Alan Wake 2 falls in this category. What other titles have run out?
There are other games not in the TPU graphs because they're newer and/or never made it into the suite. HWUboxed did a video about it. Last of Us Part 1 & Avatar being two of the more VRAM heavy games going over 12GB of VRAM usage.

Now, I would never call a 5070 a 4k card, and I don't think people should buy it and expect a good experience, but if someone does, they'll definitely run into issues in the future with RAM usage on newer games.

okay okay, I hear ya on power draw and it not being 425w. I was trying to extrapolate from W1z's results and that...and yeah, it all still makes sense to me. We'll obviously have wait and see.

And yet Wizard's suite would almost make you believe it is! Imagine that.

Meh, you don't have to run everything at Ultra. I use a 4K monitor with a 6700 XT and while I'd like a faster card, it does fine with some settings tweaks. In many older games, it can run 4K with most if not all details at max. I don't want to back off of 4K because I need it for work.

The 5070 is actually best in class at 4K (that class being ~$550). Probably a result of its use of GDDR 7.

So, for at least some users who want or need 4K but don't want to pay $1000+, this is not a horrible choice if it is actually $550. It won't be of course, probably next best choice is 9070 if it can be had for $550 (dubious), and then a 7900 GRE or 7800 XT if the prices come down when these newer cards hit the market.
