The Radeon RX 6700M is a mobile graphics chip by AMD, launched on May 31st, 2021. Built on the 7 nm process, and based on the Navi 22 graphics processor, in its Navi 22 XM variant, the chip supports DirectX 12 Ultimate. This ensures that all modern games will run on Radeon RX 6700M. Additionally, the DirectX 12 Ultimate capability guarantees support for hardware-raytracing, variable-rate shading and more, in upcoming video games. The Navi 22 graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 335 mm² and 17,200 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked Radeon RX 6700 XT, which uses the same GPU but has all 2560 shaders enabled, AMD has disabled some shading units on the Radeon RX 6700M to reach the product's target shader count. It features 2304 shading units, 144 texture mapping units, and 64 ROPs. The card also has 36 raytracing acceleration cores. AMD has paired 10 GB GDDR6 memory with the Radeon RX 6700M, which are connected using a 160-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 1489 MHz, which can be boosted up to 2400 MHz, memory is running at 2000 MHz (16 Gbps effective). Its power draw is rated at 135 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device. Radeon RX 6700M is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 4.0 x16 interface.
